This shoot was inspired by a lot of things. One was the Vogue Italia Fashion Editorial shot by Steven Meisel, who had the legendary Linda Evangelista in it. It was not Goth but was centering on a death of a loved one. Two - Dior RTW show make up circa A/W 2008 and lastly the Duomo. Why The Duomo? When I was in IED and we were asked to make a mood board for our collection, I could not help but be inspired by the towering cathedral and everything about it. The period when it was created was so dark and from my perspective The Duomo is the definition of Gothic Architecture
