In The Fashionista's Closet: Success! + A Dented Car

After my outfit despair of yesterday, I felt totally comfortable and at ease with today's ensemble. This has to be my favorite skirt ever, I have had it for many moons and will cry nonstop if I ever have to let it go. Paired it with a watercolor racerback tank, bold yellow earrings and even though you can't  see it, an orange skinny belt. I also love these earrings and cannot for the life of me remember where I bought them. I wear them to death!

While taking pics I heard a loud crash and went to investigate around the corner where my car was parked. A dead tree limb had decided to break free from it's owner and slam onto the side of my car leaving dents and scratches as its calling card. I decided that God was trying to tell me something for being so vain and taking photos of myself instead of seeing the beauty in the nature around me. But I did get some pretty good photos from my surroundings so that counts for something, right? RIGHT??

Outfit Details:

Sunglasses: Giorgio Armani
Yellow earrings: Can't remember
Racerback tank: Buffalo Exchange
Orange belt: Target
Green maxi skirt: Arden B
Brown flats: Payless from 84654975471 years ago *I just can't give them up*

Thanks to Petra for taking my pics today and consolation over the dent fiasco. Here's hoping Mesquite Parks and Rec fixes my car in a hurry....

In The Fashionista's Closet:

About the 'fit:

Not sure if you can see but this jacket has small yellow dots on it. And the shirt underneath has a sash that ties around the waist. (Seen here.)

*Sigh* Can we talk about how much I ADORE these shoes??? I went to DSW last year looking for some black sandals and when I saw these, all thoughts of black sandals went out the window. I.had.to.have.them.

Yellow dot jacket - Talbot's
White shirt with sash belt - Zara
Men's Mossimo jeans - Target *I had a clothes swap a couple of years ago and someone brought their husband's things and I snatched these up. They are also plenty long which I like but I normally wear them rolled up*
Steve Madden Luxe platform sandal - DSW

Can not WAIT for this collection to debut at Target, of course I have to see for myself if the Zac Posen for Target collection is worth it but by the looks of the photos I say yes! The collection hits stores on April 25th.

Anna Sui for Target

I saw these items today and I must say that I was impressed but I am still faltering on paying these mall store prices at Target! I mean, Anna Sui usually retails from between $300-$800 so I understand that this is a coup for Target consumers to get her brand at these prices but I still can't help thinking, "But it's Target." But maybe it's just me, am I being a spendthrift or is Target getting too big for its britches?

Here comes the bride

Target wedding checklist:

1. Register for gifts (check)
2. Thank you notes (check)
3. Buy wedding dress (huh?)

That's right, Target is further monopolizing the young and hip market by creating affordable wedding dresses for brides on a budget. Designed by Isaac Mizrahi, the Bridal Collection also features bridesmaids dresses, bridal accessories, (veils, gloves, and shoes) as well as tuxedos for the groom to be.

I for one would love to be able to buy a bridesmaid dress for under $50 (always a bridesmaid, etc...) but I don't know if I want to buy my wedding dress at the same place that I buy my toothpaste, ya know?

The collection is only available online and comes in extended sizes.
