BROW WOW!

MAKE SURE TO BLEND THE CONCEALER PROPERLY ET VOILA, YOU HAVE FULLER BROWS! :)

TO FURTHER EMPHASISE THE SHAPE OF YOUR BROWS, OUTLINE ITS SHAPE WITH A CONCEALER THAT IS A SHADE LIGHTER.

IN L.A. THEY HAVE THIS PROCEDURE CALLED BITCH BROWS. HEHEHE. APPARENTLY, THIS IS HOW A LOT OF L.A. MAKE UP ARTISTS RE CREATE KIM K.'S AMAZING BROWS. I FOLLOWED THE SAME PROCEDURE BUT I SKIPPED DIPPING MY ANGLED BRUSH IN WATER. WITH MY ANGLED BRUSH, I USED BENEFIT'S BROW ZINGS IN MEDIUM TO OUTLINE THE SHAPE OF MY BROWS. AND THEN I USED BENEFIT'S BROW ZINGS IN LIGHT TO FILL IT IN. MAKE SURE TO BLEND.

I USED BODY SHOP'S BROW PENCIL, WHICH IS A SHADE LIGHTER THAN MY HAIR TO CREATE THE ARCH. I BASICALLY DREW ON AN ARCH BY LIGHTLY FILLING THE BALD SPOT.

START BY COMBING YOUR BROWS UPWARD WITH A BROW COMB.
MY LEFT BROW HAS AN ARCH BUT MY RIGHT BROW HAS A SEMI WONKY ARCH. THIS IS WHAT WE WILL WORK ON.

One of the beauty trends for Autumn/Winter 2010 is the strong brow. Eversince I can remember my sister and I have always been obsessed with the perfect brow. At 13 or 14 I was plucking my classmate's brows in the stone tables of St. Scho! hahaha. My sister and I were also trying to figure out how Kevyn made Linda's brows look lighter. At 14 and not knowing the existence of Jolen facial hair bleach.... this was just magic!

This is kind of a step by step post on how I do my brows.

THE LIMA GLOW REVISITED

GLOW EVEN DURING THE COLD MONTHS.

THE LIPS: Go Pale and Glossy wiht INGLOT Soft Precision Lipliner in 67 topped with INGLOT gloss in 26.

Open Sesame!

THE FINISHING TOUCHES: Apply powder on where you get oily only. Take advantage of the weather and go dewy all the way. :)

THE CHEEKS: Apply MAC Cremeblush in Uncommon on the apples of the cheeks. I applied the INGLOT Illuminator on my cheek plane with a MUFE 5N brush and blended it with the cushion of my ring finger.

THE BROWS - Keep them light and in place. Sephora Brow Pencil in 01, Benefit Brow Zings in Light and Mikyajy Brow Set.

THE EYES: Gold Peepers :)

THE EYES: Curl your lashes and apply 2 coats of Maybelline Colossal Mascara on the upper and lower lashes.

THE EYES: Using MAC Teddy Kohl Pencil, lightly line the upper lash line. One trick I use to achieve a soft definition is to apply the liner as if you are putting some dots on the lash bed.

With a MAC 266 brush, apply the shimmer taupe on the lower lash line.

Using the same brush, apply the white shimmer shadow on your water line all the way to your tear ducts.

THE EYES: Again, with an INGLOT Flat shadow brush, apply the white shimmer shadow on the brow bone.

THE EYES: Blend with a MAC 217.

THE EYES: Contoured and unblended.

THE EYES - With an INGLOT 80HP Brush, apply the shimmery taupe shadow on the crease with a little more emphasis on the outer V for soft definition.

THE EYES: Gold Lids.

THE EYES - Using an INGLOT Flat eye shadow brush, apply the gold shimmery shade from Prestige's Sun Diamond Eye Palette from the lash bed all the way to the crease.

THE EYES - Prepped eye area. Dont forget to apply some primer on the lower lash line as well.

THE EYES - Set the eye area with Bourjois liquid shadow in Gold. Apply it from the lash bed all the way to the crease.

THE BASE - With the Eyeko Tinted Cream and Benefit's Some Kind of Gorgeous.

THE BASE - I used Eyeko Tinted as my Pre Make Up Base to give me a nice looking tan. Eyeko is available on line, however, you can use a tinted moitsuriser. I applied Benefit's Some Kind of Gorgeous after. It glides on smoothly, perfect for the dewy look that we are after.

Last year I did a make up look inspired by Adriana Lima and last week I got a request from Lina on my email for the instructions on how to do the eyes.

I replaced some of the products as because most of the products that I used on the original post are either discontinued or I just got them as a freebie :)

This will perhaps be my most revealing blog, EVER. Revealing because it talks about my daily make up routine, therefore you will see a photo of me sans maquillage!!!

I hope that this will encourage more women out there to try putting on make up, its nothing to be feared, really, you are meant to enjoy it. Just go to any make up counter, don't those vibrant eye shadow colours just cheer you up? It works for me. hehehe. Also, if it does not look good on you.... again, its just make up, just wipe it off.

Whenever I put on make up on other people and like what I said during the Faces Workshop, I always look at the beautiful features in their faces and highlight that. You will be surprised that some women do not even realise that some of them have got long lashes, its just its straight and drops down or that they have nice cheekbones.

As a Make Up Artist and Stylist, its not just my job to put on make up on models but it has sort of become my thrust to make all of the women that I meet see exactly what I see in all of them .... BEAUTY.

IN FULL BLOOM - FROM DAY TO NIGHT

Whenever I find myself not knowing what to wear, in a hurry, or i want something that can take me from the office to dinner and drinks, I run to my all time favourite... The Dress. Whether it is the LBD or the WLD (White Little Dress, they are to be considred a woman's best ally)

So, come Sunday morning, woke up late and in a hurry I grabbed this flowery white dress from Forever 21 topped it with a G200 white blazer to make it look more corporate and paired it with Beige Peep Toe Pumps from New Look. Voila and Iam ready for work. :)

In keeping with the flowery theme of my look for the day, I decided to wear colour on my eyes. Btw, violets look amazing on brown eyed belles and to have a little more pop of colour I opted for Fuschia lips.

Bright Lips aside from being one of the Beauty Trends for Autumn/Winter 09 is great for Olive Skinned ladies, it compliments a perfect tan. So, try it on, if it does not work, wipe it off. Its just make up. :)
