Prepping Up

The Second Day of the workshop was all about demonstration on key looks and eye make up application for different types of eyes not to mention cupcakes courtesy of Simone and Cookies from yours truly and chocolates from Hend.

The Second half of the day was the practical application for the participants, giving of certificates, awarding of winners and group photos.

When I came up with FACES Season 2 I wanted it to be a holistics approach to beautifying oneself, there is Make Up courtesy of INGLOT, Clothes from My Strawberry Shop, Amazing Accessories from Kannah Manila, Wellness from Phil E Spa but the most important, I think is the camaraderie in the batch and new friendships that were built.

Everytime I am asked the question of what drives me to do make up, stand for hours teaching, I always say that its a passion because it is but my main inspiration for conducting these classes is the hundreds of women whose beauty is just waiting to be enhanced :)

PREFACE is the Pre Make Up Workshop Consultation where I get to meet the participants to see what make up and tools they already have. I organise this event to prevent the participants from 'excitement buying' and then they find out that the products that they have purchased are not suitable for them.

It also gives me achance to have chats with the partcipants about their skin care and make up needs.

After a succesful season, INGLOT and Anna de Leon are back with FACES by Anna de Leon - A Make Up Workshop Season 2

Another 2 days packed with beauty to make you put your best face forward. :)

THE LIMA GLOW REVISITED

GLOW EVEN DURING THE COLD MONTHS.

THE LIPS: Go Pale and Glossy wiht INGLOT Soft Precision Lipliner in 67 topped with INGLOT gloss in 26.

Open Sesame!

THE FINISHING TOUCHES: Apply powder on where you get oily only. Take advantage of the weather and go dewy all the way. :)

THE CHEEKS: Apply MAC Cremeblush in Uncommon on the apples of the cheeks. I applied the INGLOT Illuminator on my cheek plane with a MUFE 5N brush and blended it with the cushion of my ring finger.

THE BROWS - Keep them light and in place. Sephora Brow Pencil in 01, Benefit Brow Zings in Light and Mikyajy Brow Set.

THE EYES: Gold Peepers :)

THE EYES: Curl your lashes and apply 2 coats of Maybelline Colossal Mascara on the upper and lower lashes.

THE EYES: Using MAC Teddy Kohl Pencil, lightly line the upper lash line. One trick I use to achieve a soft definition is to apply the liner as if you are putting some dots on the lash bed.

With a MAC 266 brush, apply the shimmer taupe on the lower lash line.

Using the same brush, apply the white shimmer shadow on your water line all the way to your tear ducts.

THE EYES: Again, with an INGLOT Flat shadow brush, apply the white shimmer shadow on the brow bone.

THE EYES: Blend with a MAC 217.

THE EYES: Contoured and unblended.

THE EYES - With an INGLOT 80HP Brush, apply the shimmery taupe shadow on the crease with a little more emphasis on the outer V for soft definition.

THE EYES: Gold Lids.

THE EYES - Using an INGLOT Flat eye shadow brush, apply the gold shimmery shade from Prestige's Sun Diamond Eye Palette from the lash bed all the way to the crease.

THE EYES - Prepped eye area. Dont forget to apply some primer on the lower lash line as well.

THE EYES - Set the eye area with Bourjois liquid shadow in Gold. Apply it from the lash bed all the way to the crease.

THE BASE - With the Eyeko Tinted Cream and Benefit's Some Kind of Gorgeous.

THE BASE - I used Eyeko Tinted as my Pre Make Up Base to give me a nice looking tan. Eyeko is available on line, however, you can use a tinted moitsuriser. I applied Benefit's Some Kind of Gorgeous after. It glides on smoothly, perfect for the dewy look that we are after.

Last year I did a make up look inspired by Adriana Lima and last week I got a request from Lina on my email for the instructions on how to do the eyes.

I replaced some of the products as because most of the products that I used on the original post are either discontinued or I just got them as a freebie :)

GREAT DATE LOOKS - ROCK CHICK MAKE UP

With a little bit of rock and and a little bit of roll.... :)

My take on Taylor's Look with Blue Smokey Eyes and Rich Burgundy Lips.

The Inspiration: IT Girl Taylor Momsen with brown smokey eyes and red lips.

Apply a shimmery shadow on the peaks of your lips to highlight its shape.

Nothing says Valentines better than a red lip :)

Line and Fill your lips with MAC Burgundy Lip Liner and apply MAC Diva Lipstick.

The Givenchy Prism gives the highlight without the shine.

With an INGLOT multi purpose brush (one of my all time favourite brushes) Apply MAC Coppertone blush on the apples of your cheeks. Using an Everyday Minerals brush, apply Givenchy Prism on the cheek plane for some highlights.

Curl you lashes. Apply two coats of Rimmel Glam Eyes Mascara on the upper and lower lashes.

With the Dark blue NYX glitter palette, apply some on your lower lash line.

Almost done

With a Bobbi Brown Eyeliner brush. Apply the light blue (lower left) on the tear ducts.

With an INGLOT Flat shader brush apply the light gray (upper right on the brow bone)

Using a MAC 266 brush apply the dark blue on the lower lash line.

With a MAC 217 apply the light blue (lower left) on the crease. Make sure to blend, you should not see the 2 colours separating.

With a MAC 239 brush apply the darkest blue (lower right) from the lash line to the crease.

This is the Twilight Palette from Dior.

After blending with the MAC 217 brush. Use the MAC 219 brush to smudge the lower lashline.

Scary, I know. Use the MAC 217 to blend.

Apply MAC Feline Pencil from the lash bed all the way to the crease. Line your upper water line and lower water line.

Eye Area with the base.

Set the base for your eye make up. Apply MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre from the lash bed to the brow bone.

Dont forget to make the arch :) and to keep the brow in place, use the wax.

Keep the Brows light. You want them to focus on the eyes.

Sephora Brow Pencil in 01, Benefit Brow Zings in Light with MAC 266 brush.

The Base - MAC Select SPF Foundation, MAC Studio Fix Powder, MAC Studio Sculpt Concealer

Brushes - Bare Minerals Face Brush, Prestige Foundation Brush, Make Up Forever Concealer Brush.

Inspired by the character of Taylor Momsen, Jenny Humphries in the hit show Gossip Girl, this is my take on the Rock Chick look.
