In The Fashionista's Closet: Black and Blue

I really liked what I wore today but I look constipated in all my photos so I wasn't sure I was going to post them. I was trying to scout out a location to take photos on my way to my second job and came across what looked like a house with a field off of the main road so I thought that would be a good place. Unfortunately for me, everyone with a car decided to go along the same route and honk and drive slowly by so I didn't take too many pics....

I am actually wearing this dress backwards, it buttons up the back and I liked the detail so I turned it around.

A third grade kid said hi to me today and I said hi in return. I asked him his name and he said "Andre." Then he asked if I knew De'Andre. I said no and asked him who De'Andre was, thinking it was a friend of his. He said De'Andre is his brother. Andre and De'Andre?! Is that like "This is my brother Darryl and my other brother Darryl?"

I love kids. But the parents on the other hand....

Be safe over the holiday weekend, I'll be working but hopefully I'll have time for a glass of wine somewhere in there....

Don't Step On My Blue Suede Shoes

I copped this angora sweater for 99 cents and immediately thought of pairing it with my blue suede Anne Klein pumps.

Love these color combos, I like the pop of blue against the yellow.

Here are some more blues that I think will do the job:

Irregular Choice $134.80 @ASOS

 Jessica Simspson "Evoni" $89.95 @Nordstrom

...and What I Wore:

In The Fashionista's Closet: The Friendly Skies

I had an interview today for a part time job and this is what I wore.

I felt like a flight attendant but I tend to err on the side of conservative when interviewing. "Would you like some peanuts or a drink? That will be $78569321456987741357899.38."

There is a cricket in the vent of my bathroom. A cricket in the bathroom you say? Ok...SO WHAT? Well this cricket has taken unspeakable delight in chirping *or cricketing, or whatever the noise is that crickets make* in the wee hours of the night for the past three days. And because it is in the vent the sound echoes.

I sprayed Raid into the vent and it's quiet for approximately 4 hours then it begins again. I'm serious. Every four hours. When I woke up this morning I had more bags than Paris Hilton.

I called maintenance yesterday morning and left a message but no one came out. I guess crickets in the vent isn't high on their list of things to do but I had intentions on getting a good night's sleep last night.

Here's to hoping the cricket escapade gets rectified today and please don't forget to put your trays in the upright position.

Let's go Shoe Shopping!

I was salivating as I strolled thru Nordstrom last Sunday, their shoe displays always stop my in my tracks and that day was no exception. I was also surprised to see that a lot of the shoes on display were very reasonable in addition to being uber fab. So thank you Nordstrom, now I must make my wish list of shoes that I have to have.

Poetic License "Gift Wrapped" pump $99.95
(These are my faves, must.have.now.) Some people say sequins are for "occasions," I say ANY occasion is a time for sequins! I would totally wear these to work with tights and a black shift dress or with a pair of jeans. Yummy.

DV by Dolce Vita "Fire" pump $89.95

Poetic License "Kiss and Tell" pump $94.95

Steve Madden "Trinitie" pump $79.95

Report Signature "Watts" pump $194.95

Poetic License "Holiday Delight" suede platform $129.95

Jessica Simspon "Michaela" platform pump $78.95

Harajuku Lovers "Paley" pump $99.95

I am really having a love affair with Steve Madden, the shoes are so vivid and funky yet still wearable.

Steve Madden "Regaal" pump $89.95

Here's the fuchsia version of the green shoes that I want want want.

Steve Madden "Fiestaa" $99.95

Anyone who knows me knows that I love any type of detailing and if it's a vivid color, that makes it aaaalllll the better. Now can I get at least ONE pair??? Pretty please?!?!?!?
