WHAT'S YOUR BEAUTY PERSONALITY? - THE CLASSIC

and a little bit more definition at night.

Clean, Simple and Fresh...... for the day.
Keep the lips soft and supple and in a shade that is close to your natural lip colour.
I lined my lips with MAC Lip Liner in Beurre and filled it in with T. Leclerc in Sauvage.
T. Leclerc is an amazing drugstore brand in Paris. They have fantastic powders which are milled to its finest. The one I have is in Banane. Perfect for setting the undereye area :)
They are nicely packaged too :)

For the evening add a thin gel liner very close to the lash bed. This makes the lashes look fuller.
Open up the eyes by applying Glam Eyes by Rimmel. By using a brown shadow with an angled brush, you softly define the eyes.

Softly define the eyes with shades naturally found in your face like beige, all shades of brown, creams.

The Coastal Scents 28 Neutral Palette - a Make Up Kit Staple

YOUR BEAUTY ICON: KATIE HOLMES

Do you gravitate to Beiges and Browns when it comes to choosing your eyeshadows? Is Spice Lip Liner from MAC a must have in your vanity kit? Do you like your skin flawless, no harsh contouring, just that natural flush? Does the idea of putting on an Orange or Fuschia Lips make you cringe? If you find yourself saying yes to any of these questions then, chances are you are the CLASSIC. No, you are not a creature of habit, you just want to stay in your comfort zone because you already know that these make up bag staples bring out the best in you. You follow one of the things that I follow when it comes to make up – don’t fix what is not broken.

For Classic Beauties, the 28 Neutral Palette from Coastal Scents should be a Make Up Kit Mainstay. Not only does it have all the shades of Beige and Brown in all possible textures but it can somehow help you experiment by trying on the Shimmery Medium Brown E/S with some tinges of Purple. Applying it as an eyeshadow may be too bold a move for you, so perhaps, you may try using it as an eyeliner as a start. J

For the day define the eye by lining the lash bed with the brown powder liner. Vamp it up at night by applying a brown gel liner on top of the brown powder liner.

Classic Ladies likes their lips natural looking so finding the following shades may not come as a surprise: MAC Spice Lip Liner, MAC Taupe, Half & Half, INGLOT Lip paint in 51 & 52. For an evening out, you may want to add a clear gloss in the centre of your lips for a sexier pout J

For me, Katie Holmes epitomises the Classic Beauty, though I have seen in her more adventurous looks, she is almost always in brown, beiges and creams. I aint complaining coz she looks amazing, fresh and always put together J

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

For a less christmassy look go for a paler lip. MAC Spice Lipliner with Shiseido Lipstick in Indigenous Rose
I applied the Make Up Forever Sculpting Kit on the hollows of my cheek and sweeped some Sabaya Blush in 02 on the apples of my cheeks

Lastly, applied MAC Cream Colour Base in Pearl on my cheek plane and bridge of the nose.

MAC Lipstick in Russian Red completes the look.

Nails by N Bar and colour in Pouf Daddy.

For the Face I applied INGLOT AMC Foundation with MAC Studio Finish Concealer. Set the look with T. Leclerc Poudre Compacte Dermophile in Terre de Sienne

I lined the upper water line with Make Up Forever Khol pencil in 1K as well as the lower water line.

Pull the colour to the lash line with a MAC 266 brush and using the same brush apply the same Eye shadow colours on the lower lid

I lined my lash bed with Sabaya liquid Eyes in 01 (which I hardly do, if by now you notice. :))

Finally, I curled my lashes and applied two coats of Rimmel Glam Eyes on my upper and lower lashes.

I primed the eyes with MAC Soft Ochre and applied INGLOT Eye Crayon in 526 from the lash bed to the crease (its green) Love the consistency of this pencil. Very easy to blend.

I used the Coastal Scents 88 Ultra Shimmer Eye Shadow Palette.

I applied the lightest green on the tear ducts, followed by a medium shade and the darkest green on the outer corners.

I used a black shadow on the outer V of the eye to emphasise the crease.

I know, I know, this is beyond cheesy but I can't help making a look that combines Green and Red! Sorry Guys! To make it look less cheesy, made two versions of this look. Hope you like them.

Merrrryyyy Christmas! :)

WHEN I WALK DOWN THE AISLE

AND READY TO WALK DOWN THE AISLE :)

SIMPLE, FRESH,

Moisturise your Lips at the start of the make up application to make it soft and supple.

Keep it Light and Breezy

Define the Brows lightly and set with a brow gel

Prettify your Peepers with individual falsies
Last night while having coffee with Mariyah and talking about everything under the sun, we found ourselves talking about weddings and I asked her, 'Who should do my make up when I get married?' To which, she replied, 'You, of course.' So, it got me thinking about what my look will be when I walk down the aisle and this is what I came up with. Light, simple reflecting the colour of the sky at sundown.

To all brides, make sure that you schedule a trial make up with your Make Up Artist. Remember, this is your day, there will so many people taking photos and photos lasts a lifetime. Make sure you look the blushing bride in all of them.

Some Tips:

1. I prefer to use a Full Coverage Foundation to ensure that it will stay in place from the ceremony to the reception, to the countless well wishers making beso :) One to try are the following: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation (Lasts for 15 hours! Road tested on a shoot and subjected to extreme weather conditions----hmm sounded like a sports shoe ad if you ask me, hehehe.) Chanel Mat Lumiere - Feels Like Silk and Dior Skin Forever for Celebrity Looking Skin.

2. Go easy on highlighters. Cameras have flash and if you are getting oily, its not going to look good on photos.

3. Use Cream Blush before applying the setting powder and apply a thin layer of blush after. This is make the blushing bride look last longer.

4. Use Eye Primers. They make eyeshadows last longer and the colour becomes more vibrant. Everyone's eyes will be on you, so make sure your peepers look happy and alive.

5. Waterproof Mascara is a Bride's Bestfriend. :)

6. I prefer individual falsies as it looks more natural.

7. Keep the lips defined with feathery strokes using a lip pencil and fill them in to make it last longer. Choose a being pink lip colour.

Of course, SMILE and look forward to spending your life with the man that you love :)

THE MAGICAL SEASON

There are so many reasons as to why I love the Holiday Season. First and foremost, I get to shower my little girl a wee bit more that usual. :) She is asking for another PS2 (her old PS2 was stolen) She does not know that Mama was something better for her.

I call the Holiday Season as the most Magical Season of all. This is the time where relatives who have not spoken to one another will finally find it in each other to forgive, families get together, people are so much nicer.

But amidst all the funfare that this season brings, I hope that we do not forget the real reason as to why we celebrate this season. Its Christmas from the word Christ.

It has been a great 2009 and from me to you and from 77th Street... HAPPY HOLIDAYS. :)
